George Mason Space Collaborative unifies faculty, students, and partners across five colleges and schools, three university institutes, and Mason Korea, integrating science, engineering, AI and data science, policy, law, economics, and the social sciences.to advance space research, missions, education and partnerships.

6 Pillars of the Space Collaborative
1. Space Research and Development
Advance space research, education, and human participation in space science, technology, business, law and policy.
2. Cross divisional space missions
Integrate existing and develop an infrastructure (physical and digital/AI) that supports long-term space missions, space research, education and outreach.
3. Infrastructure as Service
Design and launch low cost, fast turnaround space missions in pursuit of scientific, technological, educational and outreach goals.
4. Space Education
Provide hands-on, mission-based space education at all levels of learning, while expanding interdisciplinary degree and certificate programs that connect science and engineering with policy, law, economics, ethics, and commercialization.
5. Business and Government Partnerships
Establish and grow George Mason as a center of critical work in space and adjacent fields through strengthening connections and collaborations with local, regional, national and international institutes, and other space-related initiatives.
6. Community engagement and outreach
Establish George Mason as a space leader in broader communities (local, regional, national and international) through impact from its science, missions and education.
